Location:
The Villages, FL Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 3:00 PM - 1:00
AM Overtime & Saturdays:
Required as needed Position Overview We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Quality Control Technician to join our team on 2nd shift. This position is responsible for inspecting precast concrete products, verifying dimensions, performing quality control tests, and maintaining accurate records. Previous quality control, construction, precast, or carpentry experience is preferred but not required. The client is willing to train the right candidate with a strong aptitude, positive attitude, and willingness to learn. Key Responsibilities Verify element dimensions using provided plans and specifications. Follow up to ensure corrections are made as needed. Perform various quality control tests and procedures. Maintain accurate quality control records and reports. Communicate findings clearly and accurately with the team. Follow instructions, safety procedures, and worksite requirements. Work as part of a team to maintain quality and productivity. Safely lift, carry, push, and pull materials as required. Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE). Maintain steady productivity throughout the shift. Work overtime and Saturdays when required. Qualifications 1-2 years of relevant Quality Control or Construction experience preferred, but willing to train. ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician Grade 1 certification preferred, but not required. Precast or carpentry experience is not required. Must be able to read and accurately use a tape measure. Ability to read and follow plans and instructions. Clear and concise oral and written communication skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Positive attitude and willingness to contribute to the team. Strong aptitude and willingness to learn new tasks. Ability to accept coaching and feedback. Dependable, punctual, and reliable with a strong work ethic. Physical & Work Environment Requirements Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds safely. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to bend, reach, stoop, push, pull, and perform repetitive movements. Comfortable working in an active concrete and precast manufacturing environment. Ability to follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE. Flexibility to work outside normal business hours, including overtime and Saturdays. Additional Requirements Must be available for the scheduled 2nd shift. Must successfully complete required background and drug screening. Excellent attendance and punctuality are required.
