Job Description

We are a fragrance manufacturer looking for a detail-oriented lab technician. This person will compound experimental fragrances for outbound samples. This job requires the weighing of powders and liquids on a lab scale. Once compounded the tech bottles and labels the experiment for processing. The perfect candidate will be looking for an entry position in the fragrance industry. We are expanding and need to fill this position immediately. The hours are 8-5pm with an hour for lunch. Looking for a long term employee. Starting pay $12-14hr depending on experience with an evaluation after 90 days. We offer medical, dental, vision benefits with sick and vacation days.

We are located in Cartersville, GA. We blend the traditional with the modern and use cutting-edge technology to produce the highest quality fragrances for our customers. Our fragrances are used in a variety of products such as candles, soaps, incense, air fresheners, and any other product with an added scent. As a Quality Control Technician at AFI, you will have the opportunity to play a vital role in maintaining the quality and consistency of our fragrance products. You will be tasked with conducting thorough quality assessments throughout the fragrance manufacturing process, from raw materials to finished products, to uphold our commitment to producing exceptional fragrances.

Key Responsibilities:
    Lab Testing:

    Collect samples of fragrance products at various stages of production and perform a range of tests and analysis on each sample.

      Documentation:

      Maintain detailed records of quality control tests and results, recording any deviations from quality standards.

        Equipment Maintenance:

        Help in the calibration and maintenance of quality control equipment and instruments.

          Team Collaboration:

          Collaborate with other quality control team members to ensure a cohesive and coordinated approach to maintaining product quality.

            Communication:

            Effectively communicate quality-related findings, test results, and recommendations to relevant teams, including production, shipping, R&D, etc.

              Safety:

              Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines in the laboratory to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.

              Qualifications:
              • High school diploma or equivalent.
              • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining product quality.
              • Effective verbal and written communication skills are necessary to report findings, document test results, and collaborate with team members.
              • Effective time management skills to meet testing deadlines and ensure efficient quality control processes.
              • Ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines.
              • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
              • Commitment to safety and environmental compliance.
              • Basic knowledge of fragrance production or laboratory practices is a plus.
