Diverse Staffing is currently seeking a Quality Assurance Technician (QA Tech) for a leading food manufacturing facility in McDonough, GA. This is an excellent opportunity for detail-oriented individuals who are passionate about food safety, product quality, and regulatory compliance. As a QA Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring that products meet company, customer, and regulatory standards while supporting continuous improvement initiatives throughout the production process.
Your Day-to-Day Tasks Will Be:
Testing & Inspection Conduct inspections and quality testing of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods. Perform microbiological, chemical, and physical testing to verify product safety and quality. Collect samples and document test results accurately. Process Monitoring Monitor production operations to ensure compliance with HACCP, GMP, SQF, and company food safety programs. Verify that products meet established quality specifications throughout the manufacturing process. Identify and report process deviations or quality concerns. Sanitation & Compliance Inspect equipment, production areas, and employee practices to ensure sanitation and food safety standards are maintained. Support compliance with FDA, company, and regulatory requirements. Participate in food safety audits and inspection activities. Documentation & Reporting Maintain detailed records of inspections, test results, non-conformances, and corrective actions. Complete quality documentation accurately and in a timely manner. Assist with audit preparation and compliance reporting. Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement Investigate product quality issues and support root cause analysis efforts. Recommend corrective actions to prevent recurring quality concerns. Assist in implementing process improvements that enhance food safety and product consistency. Equipment & Team Support Calibrate and maintain laboratory testing equipment and monitoring devices. Assist with employee training related to food safety, sanitation, and quality procedures. Collaborate with production, sanitation, maintenance, and quality teams to ensure consistent product quality. Follow all safety policies and maintain a clean, organized work environment. This Job Requires:
Knowledge & Experience Previous quality assurance, quality control, laboratory, or food manufacturing experience preferred. Understanding of HACCP, GMP, SQF, and food safety standards. Familiarity with food manufacturing quality systems and regulatory requirements. Technical Skills Experience using laboratory testing equipment, measuring devices, and quality monitoring tools. Ability to interpret test results and identify product or process deviations. Basic computer skills for data entry, reporting, and documentation. Attention to Detail Strong ability to identify quality issues, inconsistencies, and contamination risks. Excellent recordkeeping and documentation skills. Analytical & Communication Skills Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and within a team environment. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the facility for the entire shift. Ability to lift up to 30 pounds as needed.
