Job Description

LDJ Manufacturing is home to the Thunder Creek Equipment brand of premium diesel fuel and service trailers and trucks. We are an industry leader known for our uncompromising quality and reliability. Reporting to the Quality Engineer, the Quality Technician will be responsible for ensuring that products meet quality standards. The Quality Technician's duties will include conducting product inspections, communicating information regarding defects to the production team, and taking corrective action using the Quality Management System.
Responsibilities Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Exhibit LDJ's core values and culture in all aspects of the job. Conduct regular audits of LDJ Manufacturing products and processes. Ensure that customers' expectations of our products are met or exceeded. Provide direct feedback to production management regarding identified defects. Assist with immediate disposition of nonconforming products and root cause analysis. Record and maintain data regarding identified product defects and product disposition. Assist with development and improvement of product quality standards. Inspect goods or products against quality and safety standards and report issues to the Quality Engineer or appropriate Area Manager. Ensure test equipment is calibrated and working correctly. Conduct tests to determine the effectiveness of process controls. Identify areas for improvement in the Quality Management System. Operate all tools and equipment in a safe manner. Other duties as management delegates.
Requirements Qualifications:
Ability to analyze and interpret blueprints and other technical information. High-level visual awareness and attention to detail, as well as a high level of integrity to ensure customer satisfaction. Strong analytical and mathematics skills. Strong communication skills such as the ability to provide constructive criticism, influence others' decision-making, and explain or teach methodologies. General mechanical skills required in pneumatics, 12V wiring, and small engines. Ability to troubleshoot and make effective decisions in real-time. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Willingness to work in noisy environments. Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office 365. Experience with writing and auditing standard work instructions (SWI) preferred. Experience with press brake operation, welding requirements, and other manufacturing methods preferred.
Education and Training:
High school diploma or GED required. Associates degree in related field, preferred or at least two years of relevant experience, required.
