E.T. Simonds Construction is seeking a full time Quality Control Technician with a specialization in Bituminus Testing (Asphalt). Responsibilities include field and plant sampling and testing to ensure compliance with state specifications, preparing detailed reports for state agencies and customers, and customer relations. Candidates shall have completed at minimum - IDOT Bituminous Testing—Grade I and have field or lab-based experience testing concrete. Applicants will possess an understanding of laboratory testing procedures and analytical skills, generally associated with a degree in science-related field. Individuals must possess solid communication skills; the ability to maintain a high degree of organization and keep detailed records; proficiency in math and computer skills are required.
