This position will oversee quality inspection activities within the Quality and Heat Treat Laboratory, ensuring manufactured components meet engineering specifications, customer requirements, and established quality standards. $20.00 / Hour Quality Inspection Supervisor Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate daily quality inspection activities within the Quality and Heat Treat Laboratory. Lead and support inspection personnel to ensure accurate, timely, and consistent quality inspections. Perform quality inspections on manufactured automotive components. Load parts into Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) fixtures and execute established inspection programs. Conduct hardness testing and accurately document inspection results. Perform Magna Flux and Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI) testing. Inspect components using microscopes to identify defects, irregularities, and quality concerns. Cross-cut components using saw equipment for inspection and analysis. Measure components using calipers, gauges, micrometers, and other precision measuring equipment. Review inspection results and ensure measurements are properly documented and communicated. Assist with troubleshooting quality issues and escalate nonconforming materials or components as needed. Ensure inspection equipment and laboratory processes are operated according to established procedures. Train, coach, and provide direction to inspection team members on quality procedures and equipment. Monitor adherence to company quality standards, work instructions, and safety procedures. Maintain accurate inspection records and computerized quality documentation. Assist with Quality and Heat Treat Laboratory operations as assigned. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory and work environment. Promote a culture of quality, accountability, safety, and continuous improvement. Quality Inspection Supervisor Qualifications Previous experience in manufacturing quality inspection required; supervisory or lead experience preferred. Automotive manufacturing experience is highly preferred. Experience leading, training, or directing quality inspection personnel is a plus. Familiarity with CMM equipment, hardness testing, Magna Flux/MPI testing, microscopes, and precision measuring equipment is highly desirable. Experience using calipers, gauges, micrometers, and other inspection tools. Ability to accurately interpret measurements, inspection results, and quality requirements. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards. Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills. Basic computer skills and the ability to accurately document inspection data. Ability to identify quality concerns and communicate issues effectively to leadership and production teams. Ability to work independently while effectively leading and supporting a team. Must be able to read, write, and understand English to follow safety procedures, work instructions, and operate digital inspection equipment.
