Job Title:
CMM Programmer Job Description We are seeking an experienced CMM Programmer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and optimizing CMM programs, interpreting blueprints, and ensuring the precise measurement of product characteristics and gauges. This role offers the opportunity to lead CMM programming efforts and contribute to the production of cutting-edge medical device products. Responsibilities Interpret blueprints to determine optimal methods for programming CMM measurements. Develop CMM programs for product characteristics and gauges using PC-DMIS software. Provide technical support for operators utilizing CMM equipment. Maintain CMM preventive maintenance logs and conduct regular visual equipment inspections. Generate inspection reports as required. Collaborate with the engineering team to support related activities. Improve CMM program cycle time and accuracy as necessary. Learn and utilize Solidworks 3D modeling software. Engage in vision system programming as needed. Assist in troubleshooting quality issues. Ensure conformity with
ISO13485, 21 CFR
Part 820, and medical device industry standards. Perform other work-related tasks as assigned. Essential Skills 5+ years of experience as a CMM programmer. Completion of level 2 and/or level 3 CMM programming courses. Strong GD&T and machining experience. Experience in the medical device industry. Proficiency in CNC programming and blueprint reading. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with PC-DMIS software at level 2 or 3. Strong attention to detail and computer knowledge. Familiarity with machining processes and Solidworks. Knowledge of 3D part printing. 2+ years of experience in the medical device industry preferred, aerospace experience considered. Work Environment The position is based onsite for five days a week, with working hours from Monday to Thursday, 6 am to 3 pm, and Friday from 6 am to 10 am. Overtime may be required, including occasional Saturday work, depending on project timelines. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Plymouth, IN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
