Job Description

Position Overview:
The Quality Control Technician - P&R and Fabrication is responsible for performing detailed inspections of assembly products, as well as fabrication materials. This role ensures that all products meet internal quality standards and customer specifications, helping to maintain product reliability and compliance.
Required Skills and Abilities:
2+ years of experience in quality technician roles within industrial or heavy equipment manufacturing. Strong understanding of mechanical components and industrial equipment. Proficiency in reading engineering drawings and using precision measurement tools. Basic computer skills (e.g., MS Office, ERP or QMS systems). Strong understanding of quality inspection standards, traceability, and uncertainty. Familiarity with
ISO 9001
requirements. Excellent attention to detail, documentation, and organizational skills.
Responsibilities:
Assembly Line Quality Checks:
Inspect mechanical and electrical assemblies for proper fit, alignment, and torque. Verify that components are assembled according to engineering drawings and work instructions. Perform in-process inspections to catch defects early. Verify checklist and records match current building status. Perform Audits on manufacturing lines.
Fabrication Quality Assurance:
Measure fabricated parts (e.g., weldments, machined components) using precision tools. Check weld quality (visual inspection, dye penetrant, or ultrasonic testing if applicable). Ensure surface finishes, hole placements, and tolerances meet specifications.
Final Product Verification:
Conduct final inspection on units. Validate safety features and operational readiness before shipment.
Non-Conformance Handling:
Document and report defects or deviations. Collaborate with fabrication and assembly teams to resolve issues. Support Material Review Board Support root cause analysis and corrective actions. Support spot checking and inventory checks for Non-Conforming Material. Other duties as assigned.
