Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join our innovative team. In this role, you will oversee writing inspection reports, testing manufacturing equipment, inspecting products to ensure they meet quality standards, and analyzing test data. They also work to improve quality control procedures and ensure that Quality assurance tests do not impede production. Perform PPAP's and adhere to all Bowers and Customer specific requirements. Duties Collecting and analyzing product samples, as well as recording data from analysis. Performing Extrusion Layouts on all cavities of dies ran, using Keyence 3-D scanning Machine. Operating Lab Machines, such as Comparator, Height gage, Calips, Versa gage, LMM, Etc. Reading/Understanding of Blueprints, process prints, profile prints, including GD&T callouts. Calibrating measuring equipment and gages in-house, record retention through Gage-Trak. Assisting and performing PPAP reports, bubbling prints, and providing measurements for dimensional call outs. Assisting with maintaining and updating of Control plans, Process flows and PFMEA's. Performing Cpk, Capability Studies, and Gage R&R. Assist with First Pass Yield Data Collection. Reviewing product for first piece run(s) and final inspection, comparing it to the initial requirements, and accepting or rejecting the finished product that meets quality standards.
Sorting parts:
visually and/or with measurement devices, when needed. Additional Duties as Needed Experience Proven experience in software quality assurance within IT environments with a strong understanding of QA test planning, test case design, and QA/QC procedures. At least 2-4 years prior experience in the Quality/Engineering field is required. Knowledge of Aluminum Extrusions and Anodizing is preferred but not required. Must be able to read and understand blueprints, including measurements and tolerances, with references to GD&T. Experience with Gage-Trak and Calibrations is preferred. Knowledgeable about and able to operate Quality testing equipment including, Keyence 3 -D Scanner, Height Stand, Versa Gage, LMM, Comparator, Calipers, Various Gages, etc. Strong ability to anticipate problems and propose viable solutions. Experience with performing PPAP, Gage R&R, and Capability Study's. Knowledgeable about both statistical methods and quality control procedures. Excellent computer skills, including the ability to efficiently use Microsoft Word and Excel. Knowledge of ISO 9001, and other standards. Strong working knowledge of various mathematical concepts including fractions, ratios, and proportions. Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally. Ability to stand for long period of time, as well as walk far distances. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision and be able to analyze and interpret information.
Pay:
$55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
