Job Description
About the Role As a Field Electrical Quality Assurance Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity and compliance of complex electrical, communication, and instrumentation systems. You will serve as a technical authority on-site, verifying that installations meet rigorous safety standards and project specifications to ensure long-term operational reliability. Responsibilities Validate that all electrical and instrumentation installations align with project blueprints, technical specifications, and contract documents. Monitor and document the installation of data acquisition and pneumatic control systems to ensure optimal performance. Enforce compliance with the National Electric Code (ANSI/NFPA 70) and Title 49 Part 192 regulations throughout the construction lifecycle. Maintain comprehensive field logs and generate detailed inspection reports to track project progress and quality outcomes. Proactively identify potential site hazards and communicate safety concerns to project leadership to maintain a zero-incident environment. Verify the quality and suitability of all materials used in the field, ensuring they meet project requirements before installation. Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve design discrepancies or material substitutions, ensuring all changes are approved prior to implementation. Qualifications Required Skills Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical inspection, technician roles, or as a journeyman. At least 2 years of hands-on experience in industrial or pipeline electrical power and control system construction. In-depth knowledge of National Electric Code (N.E.C.) guidelines and regulatory standards. Proven ability to interpret complex construction drawings and technical contract documentation. Preferred Skills Prior experience serving as a Utility Inspector or in a general field inspection capacity. Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting control system issues during the installation phase. Excellent communication skills for coordinating with project engineers and site management.
