Job Description

Scalehouse Operator Guardian Energy Hankinson has an exciting opportunity for a Scalehouse Operator to join the team! As a Scalehouse Operator you will be responsible for safely and efficiently weighing and sampling raw materials and products to include (corn, DDG & Syrup) in and out.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
Operate computerized scale software to ensure accuracy of all transactions. Grade all incoming samples of corn proficiently and accurately. Analyze test data and determine appropriate action. Maintain and calibrate testing and weighing equipment. Maintain daily update of checklists and routine duties calendar. Prepare and enter daily production and shipment reports. Monitor and document railcar damage when assigned. Request necessary load information from drivers for proper contract application. Assist in maintaining the security of the plant by requiring necessary identification and documentation of incoming loads.
QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION
High school diploma required. Associate degree or technical degree/certification preferred.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
Valid Driver's License required. Experience in the grains sampling and grading preferred but not required.
SKILLS/ABILITIES
Ability to learn and work effectively with the plant's computer systems. Punctual and timely in meeting all requirements of performance, including but not limited to, attendance standards and work deadlines. Ability to maintain courteous, professional and effective working relationships with customers and employees at all levels of the organization. Ability to communicate information and state problems or challenges to be resolved in clear, concise, courteous, and professional manner and be able to provide clarification as necessary. Capable of adapting, with minimal or no advance notice, to changes in how business is conducted and work is accomplished, with no diminishment in work performance. Ability to multi-task and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Knowledge of Microsoft office systems including but not limited to Excel and Word preferred but not required.
