Quality Assurance Specialist — Sfoglini Sfoglini makes some of the best organic pasta around, and as we continue to grow, we need an experienced Quality Assurance professional to help take our food safety program to the next level — specifically, guiding our transition from GMP-based practices to a full GFSI-certified system.
The Work:
You'll be the driving force behind consistency and safety across our production floor, working to develop, improve, and enforce the systems that keep our food — and our customers — safe.
This includes:
Evaluating our current food safety programs against GFSI standards and building out the plans, documentation, and processes needed to close the gap Guiding the development, implementation, and ongoing compliance of HACCP programs Maintaining and strengthening our GMPs, SSOPs/SOPs, allergen programs, recall programs, and CAPA processes Recording and analyzing critical control point data to track product safety through every stage of production Ensuring we meet all USDA regulatory requirements, and staying ahead of regulatory changes so our programs stay current Working hands-on with our production team to make sure standards aren't just written down — they're lived out on the floor every day
What We're Looking For:
Solid working knowledge of CAPAs, GMPs, SSOPs/SOPs, allergen programs, and HACCP Experience with GFSI-recognized schemes (SQF, BRC, etc.) or a strong understanding of what the transition from GMP to GFSI requires Someone detail-oriented and organized, but also comfortable rolling up their sleeves and working directly with the production team Strong communication skills — you'll need to train, guide, and hold the line on standards with people at every level A collaborative mindset and a good sense of humor — we're a small, tight-knit team who work hard and support each other
What You'll Get:
The opportunity to update and shape a food safety program for GFSI Fair wages (comparable to experience) and long-term, stable employment A close-knit team that values dedication, expertise, and follow-through Free pasta! Employees regularly take home our organic products If you're looking to bring real ownership to a food safety program and help a growing, quality-driven company reach the next level of certification, we'd love to hear from you.
