Job Description

Markin Tubing is a leading manufacturer serving worldwide markets with welded steel tubing, headquartered in Western New York. We are recruiting for Quality Control Technician II in our Wyoming, NY facility to work second shift (3:30 p.m. to Midnight)
Primary Responsibility:
Experience with the collection and analysis of samples is a core skill set for the position. Assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions. Hands on to conduct audits and containment activities on the manufacturing floor. Desired skill sets include experience in: Use of laboratory instrumentation/Mechanical Testing/Chemical Testing Auditing Use of computers and be able to read, interpret and work from technical drawings The use of band saws and mechanical presses Experience with analog and digital micrometers and calipers Ability to follow lab process documentation and control Contribution to and the advancement of quality management system Essential skills: AAS in engineering, technologies, metallurgy or other related technical field And/or equivalent QA/QC experience in metals/manufacturing Strong talent for problem solving Working well in a team environment Computer proficiency - Microsoft Office, Minitab, ERP system
