Role Description The Quality Control Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Huntington, WV. This position is responsible for performing routine laboratory and field tests to ensure materials, processes, and construction activities meet established standards and project specifications. Day-to-day tasks include operating and maintaining laboratory equipment, recording and analyzing test data, preparing test reports, and communicating findings to engineers and project managers. The technician will assist in implementing quality control and quality assurance procedures, maintain clean and safe work areas, and follow all company and regulatory safety guidelines. Collaboration with project teams, adherence to timelines, and accurate documentation are essential aspects of the role. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Quality Control and Quality Assurance skills, with the ability to follow and enforce testing standards and procedures. Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills to interpret test results, identify variances, and support data-driven decisions. Candidates should possess practical Laboratory Skills, including sample preparation, handling, and documentation according to established protocols. Candidates should possess proficiency in operating and maintaining Laboratory Equipment relevant to materials testing and quality verification. Relevant additional qualifications include attention to detail, basic math skills, and familiarity with construction materials and civil engineering practices. Ability to work safely in laboratory and field environments, follow written instructions, and communicate clearly with team members and supervisors. High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or coursework in civil engineering technology, materials testing, or a related field is preferred. Previous experience in a construction, engineering, or testing laboratory environment is beneficial but not mandatory.
