3:00 PM-1:30 AM, Monday-Thursday Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Quality Inspector with hands-on experience using a portable articulating measuring arm to inspect fabricated, machined, and welded components. The ideal candidate will have experience with articulating measuring arms, CMM equipment, dimensional inspection, blueprints, CAD models, and GD&T . This position is responsible for ensuring parts meet customer and engineering specifications while working closely with production and engineering teams. Responsibilities Set up and operate a portable articulating measuring arm for dimensional inspections. Inspect fabricated, machined, and welded components for accuracy and quality. Measure dimensions, angles, hole locations, profiles, flatness, parallelism, and other geometric features. Compare inspection results to blueprints, CAD models, customer requirements, and engineering specifications. Perform first-piece, in-process, final, and receiving inspections. Read and interpret engineering drawings, weld symbols, CAD models, and GD&T requirements. Create inspection reports, dimensional layouts, and first-article inspection reports. Identify, document, and communicate nonconforming materials or parts. Use precision measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other inspection tools. Work with welders, machinists, engineering, and production personnel to resolve dimensional and quality issues. Assist with root-cause investigations and corrective actions. Maintain calibration records for measuring equipment. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe inspection area. Qualifications Previous Quality Inspector experience in a manufacturing, machining, welding, or metal fabrication environment. Hands-on experience operating a portable articulating measuring arm strongly preferred. Experience with portable CMM or 3D inspection equipment preferred. Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and engineering drawings. Working knowledge of GD&T . Experience inspecting fabricated and welded assemblies preferred. Strong measurement, math, computer, and documentation skills. Technical training or certification in quality inspection, metrology, CMM operation, or GD&T is preferred. Preferred Software & Equipment Experience with any of the following is a plus: Portable articulating measuring arms Portable CMM equipment Laser scanning equipment PolyWorks Inspector PC-DMIS Verisurf CAM2 SpatialAnalyzer Other 3D metrology or dimensional inspection software Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach for extended periods. Ability to safely position and operate portable measuring equipment. Ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation. Ability to work in a manufacturing environment around machinery, noise, welding operations, and moving equipment. Ability to wear required personal protective equipment. Why Apply?
