Job Title:
Quality Inspector Job Description The Quality Inspector conducts visual, dimensional, and functional inspections on a wide variety of mechanical and electrical parts, components, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies at receiving, in-process, and final stages. This role ensures that products meet all customer, statutory, and regulatory requirements and supports continuous improvement across the organization through accurate documentation, root cause analysis, and effective communication with internal teams, suppliers, and regulatory agencies. Responsibilities Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections on mechanical and electrical parts, components, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies during receiving, in-process, and final inspection stages. Identify, document, and secure nonconforming parts, components, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies, and submit them to the Material Review Board (MRB) for disposition. Generate, track, and follow up on internal and supplier corrective action requests to address quality issues and prevent recurrence. Maintain accurate filing and record keeping of all quality records and inspection documentation. Focus on continuous improvement by applying sound business judgment and recommending enhancements to inspection processes and quality controls. Collaborate effectively with internal departments, customers, and regulatory agencies to support high levels of customer satisfaction and compliance. Provide clear and constructive inspection feedback to suppliers and internal departments to help improve product and process quality. Ensure compliance with customer requirements and applicable statutory and regulatory agency regulations, including FAA, EASA, ITAR, and related standards. Generate inspection data sheets and documentation to record and report inspection results in a timely and accurate manner. Perform First Article Inspection (FAI) in accordance with SAE AS9102, and generate or review associated documentation of FAI results. Participate in root cause analysis for quality issues and support the implementation of corrective actions to address identified problems. Record quality checks and inspection results in the computer system, using an ERP platform (SAP) to document and track quality data. Use appropriate quality tools and measuring equipment to verify dimensions and tolerances, ensuring parts meet specified requirements. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine inspection criteria and acceptance standards. Support adherence to quality assurance, quality control, and inspection standards across mechanical, electrical, and circuit board components. Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Twinsburg, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $31.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
