HDI Railings, a Lancaster based manufacturer of high-end custom stainless-steel handrail systems, seeks a full time Quality Control/Quality Assurance Inspector for our manufacturing facility. This position is responsible for inspecting all in-house manufactured components and finished products as well as incoming vendor supplied parts and materials. The successful candidate must be organized and resourceful, possess excellent communication skills, and be able to function under pressure.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Carryout 1st piece inspections, in-process inspections, and final inspections of components machined in-house. Inspect all incoming materials ensuring they are within specified tolerances, of good quality and free of defects. Carryout in-process inspections of general production processes including cutting, polishing, drilling, welding, and assembly. Complete the final project quality control inspection prior to shipping, utilizing the fabrication prints to verify accuracy of measurements, ensuring all product adheres to HDI's standards and specifications, and identifying any missing materials. Identify root cause of non-conformances and make recommendations to senior management of any corrective action needed. Establish, implement, and manage a system to evaluate, monitor, and report quality non-conformance trends. Adhere to established company policies, procedures, terms and conditions that affect quality control. Coordinate and work with engineering department, machining department, and assembly operations to proactively identify and address quality issues. At least 3 years progressive experience in a construction or manufacturing environment and proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook is required.
