QUALITY CONTROL
TECHNICIANMonday
  • Friday Mandatory overtime as needed6:00 am
  • 6:00 pm$20.00
  • $23.00 per hour for an entry-level position $24.00
  • $27 per hour for extensive experience 
ESSENTIAL JOB
FUNCTIONSPerform in-process and final quality inspections of fabricated, welded, and machined components and equipment.

Conduct dimensional inspections using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, CMMs, and other precision measuring instruments.

Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and inspection requirements.

Inspect and verify weld quality in accordance with applicable
AWS/ASME
standards and customer specifications.

Accurately document inspection results, measurements, and nonconformances.

Identify, document, and properly tag nonconforming materials or components.

Assist with corrective actions and root cause analysis related to quality issues.

Maintain accurate quality records and inspection documentation.

Follow established quality, safety, and plant procedures while maintaining a clean and organized inspection area.

Wear required PPE and work safely around manufacturing equipment and machinery. 
JOB REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or GED required; technical training or certification in Quality, Manufacturing, or Welding Inspection preferred.

Minimum 2 years of quality control or inspection experience in heavy manufacturing, industrial fabrication, oilfield equipment, or a similar environment.

Working knowledge of AWS and/or ASME codes and standards preferred.

Experience reading blueprints, engineering drawings, and dimensional specifications.

Experience using precision measuring and inspection equipment, including calipers and micrometers; CMM experience preferred.

Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and quality or ERP software.

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and safely work around heavy equipment and machinery. #psbrownwood
