Job Description

Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quality Inspector/Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this vital role, you will ensure that all products meet stringent quality standards by performing precise dimensional inspections and utilizing advanced measurement tools. Your technical proficiency and keen eye for detail will contribute to maintaining our reputation for excellence in aerospace, medical devices, or precision manufacturing sectors. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge equipment and uphold rigorous quality assurance protocols in a fast-paced environment. Duties Operate Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), including programming with PC-DMIS or similar software, to perform accurate dimensional inspections of complex parts and assemblies. Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications, including GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), to determine inspection criteria. Conduct dimensional inspections using precision measuring instruments such as height gauges, bore gauges, calipers, micrometers, and tooling to verify product conformity. Ensure compliance with industry standards such as
AS9100, ISO 9001, ISO
13485, and ASME codes & standards during all inspection activities. Collaborate with manufacturing teams to identify root causes of quality issues and implement corrective actions to improve quality standards in production. Maintain detailed inspection records, calibration logs, and quality documentation in accordance with ISO 9001 and AS9100 requirements. Support calibration of measuring instruments and ensure all equipment is maintained according to manufacturer specifications for accuracy and reliability. Qualifications Proven experience in quality control or quality assurance within manufacturing environments, preferably aerospace or medical device industries. Technical proficiency with CMM programming (PC-DMIS preferred) and operation of various measuring instruments such as height gauges, bore gauges, calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators. Strong understanding of blueprint reading, GD&T principles, mechanical blueprint interpretation, and technical drawing analysis. Familiarity with industry standards including
ISO 9001, ISO 13485, AS9100, ASME
codes & standards for quality assurance practices. Experience working with CAD software such as SolidWorks is a plus for understanding design intent during inspection processes. Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and perform precise dimensional measurements aligned with quality standards in production. Mechanical knowledge related to tooling, machining processes, and mechanical blueprint interpretation is highly desirable. Excellent math skills for calculating measurements and tolerances accurately. Strong attention to detail combined with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing setting while maintaining high-quality output.
