Job Description

Overview The Junior Operator supports daily material processing operations by safely handling materials, operating assigned equipment, performing quality checks, maintaining accurate inventory records, and following established work instructions. The position is focused on developing proficiency with manufacturing equipment, measurement tools, material handling procedures, and Ameritube's safety and quality requirements. Hiring for 2nd (2pm - 10pm) and 3rd (10pm - 6am) Shifts Required Skills /
Qualifications:
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing and material handling processes.
  • Ability to safely handle, package, and store materials.
  • Basic ability to use measurement tools, including micrometers.
  • Ability to perform basic quality checks and identify material that does not meet specifications.
  • Ability to maintain accurate inventory and production records.
  • Willingness to learn the operation of drawbenches, pointers, metal saws, and other assigned equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail when handling, measuring, packaging, and recording materials.
  • Ability to maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Previous manufacturing or warehouse experience is preferred but not required

Follow established work instructions and quality requirements. Perform required measurements and quality checks accurately. Properly identify and handle materials. Ensure materials are packaged and stored according to company requirements. Maintain accurate inventory and production records. Immediately report damaged, incorrect, or non-conforming material. Use the correct measurement tools and procedures. Maintain attention to detail throughout the material handling and processing operation.
Productivity:
Arrive prepared and ready to work at the scheduled start time. Complete assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner. Learn to operate assigned equipment safely and effectively. Maintain steady workflow while following safety and quality requirements. Minimize unnecessary downtime and communicate equipment problems promptly. Work cooperatively with team members to maintain production flow. Keep the workstation organized and ready for the next task.
