Role Description The Quality Control Assistant is an on-site position based in Hurst, Texas, responsible for helping ensure incoming and processed inventory meets Thrift for Good's quality standards. This role includes inspecting donated items for condition and safety, verifying pricing and categorization accuracy, identifying inconsistencies, and documenting quality issues or trends. The Quality Control Assistant works closely with processing and store teams to resolve discrepancies, improve consistency, and support efficient inventory flow. Daily responsibilities include visual inspections, basic functional testing, and data entry related to quality metrics while following established procedures and standards. This position plays an important role in maintaining the quality, organization, and consistency of merchandise throughout the resale process. Qualifications

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to consistently apply quality standards
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify discrepancies, patterns, and recurring quality issues
  • Clear communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with processing and store teams
  • Comfort performing visual inspections and basic functional testing of merchandise
  • Ability to accurately document findings and perform basic data entry
  • Reliable, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced processing environment
  • Ability to stand, move, uand handle merchandise for extended periods
  • Previous experience in quality control, retail, warehousing , inventory, or resale is helpful but not required
