Quality Control Technician Duties and Responsibilities:
The Quality Control Technician is responsible for testing, calibrating, and prepping all customer ranges and hoods prior to shipment. The QC Technician also maintains the organization and cleanliness of the warehouse.
Essential Functions:
1. Range and Hood Testing and Preparation Test all incoming ranges, hoods, and inserts to ensure proper function prior to being delivered to the client. Verify configuration and inventory for all ranges, hoods, and/or accessories. Diagnose, repair/replace, and report any malfunctioning or damaged parts. Operate basic power tools and hand tools. Utilize company operating software(s) to upload photos, test graphs, and testing notes to client's file, etc. Operate a forklift and pallet jack to load/unload incoming and outgoing shipments. 2. Communication Coordinate with Shipping Coordinator(s) and Warehouse Manager for quality control schedule and shipping departures/arrivals. Communicate any product/parts/tools shortages or damages to Warehouse Manager. Attend staff meetings and service meetings and participate in discussions. 3. Additional Duties Maintain safety and cleanliness of warehouse and work area. Report any hazards or concerns to direct manager. Continuous optimization of ranges and hood storage to ensure warehouse space is suited for incoming and outgoing shipments. Additional duties may become necessary.
Essential Qualifications:
Working mechanical knowledge, including the use of tools and test equipment Ability to follow directions and specific process steps to ensure quality workmanship Ability to organize, prioritize and work under pressure Ability to use a computer and relevant technology needed to perform the job Strong communication skills, able to speak clearly and write clearly Integrity in dealing with coworkers and customers Must be at least 18 years of age Ability to occasionally lift up to 100 lbs. Education High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED). Relevant work experience may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis. Experience At least 1 year of experience in a mechanical/warehouse environment (Preferred) Forklift Certification (Preferred) Software/Equipment knowledge Microsoft Office (Preferred)
