Job Description

Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Control Technician to join our team. In this vital role, you will ensure that all products meet stringent quality standards by performing inspections on fresh potatoes or onions. Your expertise will help maintain customer expectations. Responsibilities Perform quality checks on loads of produce received/shipped Responsible to communicate with Sales and Purchasing -overall quality of purchased materials Willing to uphold high standards of quality Continually monitor quality in packing lines to ensure product meets expectations of customer Provide training to graders Report problems of quality to floor lead, operators and graders Document product with photographs Maintain accurate records; weigh product, run sample testing Work productively as a team member by showing a willingness to take on other tasks when not working in the role of quality control. Strive for continuous improvement Role model behavior in direct and positive communication, addressing issues quickly in a candid, fact based manner. Inspiring teamwork and collaborative problem solving Skills Must be a good communicator with the ability to adhere to instructions. Ability to speak Spanish is preferred. Must speak English. Good math skills and good sense of balance is equally important Good reading and writing skills to communicate effectively. He/she must be able to work in different positions for a very long period - stand, sit, bend, and kneel Willingness to work extended weeks/overtime Work productively as a team member Awareness of work area for cleanliness and safety hazards Commitment for the care and proper maintenance of equipment and property Adhere to all Food Safety and GMP Policies Must be at least 18 years old
Pay:
$18.00 - $25.00 per hour
