Job Description
The Water and Calibration Quality Technician oversees the calibration of equipment and water quality of the plant(s). This includes monitoring plant operations and programs to ensure correct water chemicals and methods are utilized as they relate to food safety, HACCP, and regulatory. The Water and Calibration Quality Technician would apply the principles of chemistry, biology, physics, and math to solve problems that involve the production or use of water, chemicals, calibration, and waste. Research processes and equipment for the production manufacturing, plan and test production methods and byproducts treatment, and assist in directing facility operations with proper calibration of equipment and water sanitation. This water and calibration technician position will function at all 2 of the Greenwood, WI locations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Follow and comply with applicable good manufacturing, safety, and quality assurance practices. Maintain water treatment records and certifications related to state and EPA requirements Monitor and maintain well water records. Troubleshoot problems with water and calibration processes with well water, RO, Cow, cooling tower, and boiler waters. Monitor daily work and hours in the CMMS system. Powered industrial vehicle operations, which may include forklifts and scissor lifts. On occasion, may need to backfill to other positions/departments as needed. Other duties as assigned by the supervisor .
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Attention to detail and good organizational skills. Ability to handle large quantities of projects and to multitask. Ability to adapt effectively within a continually changing and demanding environment. Understanding of water equipment operations and good troubleshooting skills Must be able to demonstrate an ability and willingness to communicate effectively to maintain high levels of safety, quality, and efficiency. Ability to read and comprehend standard operating procedures and company guidelines in order to maintain regulatory compliance. Able to obtain licenses for and operate powered industrial equipment at a safe level. Must have a valid Driver's License. Must be able to climb ladders and work at heights. Must have mechanical and electrical knowledge.

Compensation:
Compensation for this position is commensurate with education, experience, and relevant qualifications. This role also includes a $1.00/hour 2nd shift differential.
