Quality / Production Assistant

Job Description

Job Summary In the Quality/Production Assistant role, you will be supporting the daily quality activies on the production floor. This position will help monitor processes, perform audits, assist with inspection, and support the Quality Supervisor in maintaining consistent product quality, customer satisfaction and compliance with ISO 9001 and internal DRM standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop expertise in quality assurance, manufacturing operations, and compliance standards within a dynamic environment. Duties Work with production teams to address daily quality issues. Assist with in-process and final inspection activities throughout the production cycle. Quarantine non-conforming product and assist production with rework when needed. Crate and post Quality Alerts on the shop floor. Provide basic quality training and guidance to production employees as appropriate. Perform Internal Audits, Dock Audits, Process Card Monitor Audits and Layered Process Audits. Document audit results and follow-up with appropriate personnel as required. Assist in maintaining
ISO 9001
procedures, work instructions and quality documentation. Assist with building and releasing new racking to production. Help create and revise Process Cards. Support Initial Process Studies for new job start-ups. Assist with APQP activities and PPAP submissions. Actively participate on internal Continuous Improvement teams. Support quality consistency across shifts and departments. Shift Ideal candidate will provide coverage for 1st and 2nd shift working 11am - 9pm. Knowledge of quality inspection techniques, quality management systems, and relevant codes & standards such as
ISO 9001
is preferred. Strong understanding of quality standards in production processes. Excellent analysis skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and recommend improvements. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for documentation and reporting purposes. Ability to follow detailed procedures accurately while maintaining a high level of attention to detail while managing multiple priorities. Experience with training, documentation or process improvement preferred. Strong communication skills to collaborate across teams and ensure compliance with safety protocols. Ability to work well with others in a team environment. Ability to work independently and make sound decisions. Why DRM?
