This opportunity is ideal for someone with previous quality control experience, an eye for detail, and a passion for science. You'll combine laboratory testing, production-floor interaction, problem-solving, and documentation to help ensure ingredients, packaging materials, processes, and finished products meet established quality standards. What You'll Do Inspect, sample, prepare, test, and evaluate ingredients, packaging materials, in-process materials, and finished products. Perform testing for moisture, particle size, viscosity, bulk density, Brix, Vitamin C, chlorine, proteins, fat, color, net weight, and ingredient identity. Conduct aerobic plate count, coliform, yeast, mold, environmental, and allergen testing. Perform pre-operational swabbing and verify product formulations. Complete equipment inspections, calibrations, and verification activities. Review test results against established specifications. Document out-of-specification results and process deviations. Help determine and document appropriate next steps when results do not meet specifications. Assist with material reviews and disposition decisions. Perform second-person record checks. Assist with creating Certificates of Analysis. Help train QC Technician I team members as needed. Follow established quality procedures, testing methods, and safety requirements. What We're Looking For High school diploma or equivalent required. College degree in a science-related discipline preferred. Previous quality control experience and demonstrated competency in QC Technician I duties. Strong math, computer, scientific, organizational, and communication skills. Understanding of allergens, microorganisms, HACCP plans, pipetting, chemical reactions, and thermal processes. Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation skills. Ability to identify problems, evaluate results, and follow established procedures. Reliable transportation and dependable attendance. Ability to work the overnight schedule and Friday overtime as required. Work Environment This is a hands-on quality control role that includes laboratory work and regular interaction on the production floor. The position involves testing, sampling, equipment inspections, documentation, and collaboration with production and quality team members in a manufacturing environment. What's In It for
