Holstery

Sewing Machine Operator

Entry-Level JobVerifiedNo experience needed

Job Description

About Us Holstery is on a mission to kill off the heavy tool belts responsible for back problems across the industry. Instead we're building a rig that lets you carry only what you need, while you need it. We use tactical materials such as Kydex, aluminum, stainless steel, and reinforced plastics to build tool holsters that are lightweight, durable, and super-fast. We assemble our products in our small shop in Moscow, ID. We're a tiny team but we take engineering and manufacturing seriously. Using lean manufacturing principles, clever engineering, and a distributed supply chain, we're able to punch way above our size and take on industry giants like CLC, Klein Tools, Occidental, and others. Oh, and you'll be working with one of the coolest teams in Moscow - young, smart, nimble, and super engaged. Responsibilities You'll be part of a small team responsible for assembly of our core holster offerings. Depending on the day and what's needed, you'll be cutting, prepping, and sewing on a variety of high-end industrial machines. We're looking for someone who wants to sew, but experience is not mandatory. We will consider anyone with work or personal experience related to craftsmanship and fast paced work. We're rapidly expanding our collection of items sewn in the USA and we need to grow our team to keep up. A big part of your job will be manufacturing, but we also expect you to be thinking about how we can improve the process to make things faster and more efficient. Part redesign? New equipment? Change the order? Anything is on the table. This is not some old-school shop where it's "my way or the highway". Experience For this sewing position we are looking for people who have a passion for sewing. We use a variety of high end industrial sewing machines including Juki, Brother, and Adler. Automated patterns and stitching programs help standardize and simplify our workflow. A base knowledge of how sewing machines work, and the approach to building a sewn product and the various challenges that come at different stages would be ideal in those who are applying, however we can train the right candidates. Initial interview will be a brief tour of our shop and workflows, followed by a sewing test of one of our simple products, it should only take about 10-15 minutes.
