Job Description
We are currently seeking a skilled Die Setter to join our team in Lorain, Ohio . The ideal candidate will have expertise in setting up and maintaining dies for production processes in a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
Perform die maintenance, using tool rom equipment and hand tools Layout and perform center drilling, reaming, lapping, tapping, countersinking and counter boring. Machine parts to blueprint specifications. Fabricate and/or repair dies for production. Layout existing die sections and make replacements as needed. Make in press repairs of tooling. Document and record various data for the department. Drive a hi-lo and operate crane to transport dies for maintenance or installation. Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent, plus formal training leading to Journeyman status as a Tool & Die Maker and/or equivalent on the job experience
- 5 plus years of related work experience.
- Previous experience as a Die Setter or similar role in a manufacturing setting
- Proficiency in operating stamping presses and associated equipment
- Familiarity with calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments
- Knowledge of die maintenance and troubleshooting techniques
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Experience with CAM programming is a plus Licensure Hi-lo and crane certification and journeyman status or accredited certificate required.
