Garnier Thiebaut, Inc. is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Sewing Machine Operator to join our team in South Boston, Virginia. This is a full-time position with benefits. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, has an eye for detail, and enjoys creating both standard and custom-made textile products to customer specifications. Responsibilities Operate industrial sewing machines to produce high-quality finished textile products Sew tablecloths, napkins, placemats, sheets, duvet covers, pillowcases, pillow shams, and other products Complete custom sewing projects based on customer specifications, including custom sizes, alterations, and specialty requests Read and follow work orders, measurements, and production instructions Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and customer specifications Maintain consistent quality while meeting production goals Keep work areas clean, safe, and organized Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members Follow company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines Assist with other production tasks as needed Qualifications Previous sewing machine experience needed (industrial sewing experience is a plus) Ability to accurately measure and sew products to customer specifications Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality workmanship Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity Ability to read and follow written instructions and measurements Reliable with a strong attendance record Positive attitude and ability to work well as part of a team Physical Requirements Ability to sit for up to 8 hours per day while operating a sewing machine Ability to perform repetitive hand and arm movements throughout the workday Ability to lift, move, and carry materials and finished products as needed Ability to maintain focus and attention to detail while performing repetitive tasks What We Offer Starting $16.00 per hour Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance 401(k) with Company Match Paid Time Off, Sick Days, Floating & Company Holidays Learn more about us at: www.gtlinens.com Garnier Thiebaut, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
