•Thursday Overview Join our manufacturing team as an Oven/Autoclave Operator and play a critical role in the production of high-quality composite products. In this hands-on position, you will be responsible for operating and monitoring industrial ovens and autoclaves throughout the curing process, ensuring all operations are performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with established procedures and quality standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where precision and consistency are essential. This position provides an opportunity to develop specialized equipment and composite manufacturing skills while directly contributing to continuous production and operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

Keep autoclave area clean and free of foreign objects; Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations; Uses chemicals, adhesives, solvents, lubricants, epoxies, paints, and inks, as required, with the Personal Protective Equipment required by the organization; Perform autoclave functions, using designated equipment and tools as required; Perform General Maintenance

•check hoses, thermocouples, consumables inventory, autoclave racks, autoclave ports, etc.; Load and Unload autoclaves; Perform integrity checks; Run recipes according to Standard Work Orders (SWO's) and Routers. Monitor autoclave runs; Prep runs (minimizing downtime); Accurately generate and complete all necessary process records; Follow approved troubleshooting guidelines in the event of a deviation from the recipe; Identify opportunities for improvement related to autoclave process. Report defective materials or questionable safety and quality conditions to the Operations Manager. Coordinate with facilities to ensure required preventative maintenance occurs as scheduled Other duties and areas may be assigned to meet business needs.

Qualifications and Skills:

High School diploma and three to five years' experience in a composites/manufacturing environment and/or specialized education with achieved certification. Knowledge of computers including MS Office, (Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point, Access etc.) Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing. Ability to be highly organized, detail oriented and able to respond to change quickly. Knowledge of ISO 9001 and AS9100C audit guidelines is highly desirable. Experience with fiber composites manufacturing processes is a plus. Previous experience working in a fast-paced production environment with high quality requirements; example military, aerospace or medical equipment highly preferred. Ability to read and interpret company documents, such as safety rules, operating/manufacturing instructions, policies and procedures. Good manual dexterity required to work with small parts.

Ability to safely and successfully perform essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards. Ability to maintain reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state and local standards May be required to work daily overtime and occasional weekends.
