Job Description :
Job Summary Responsible for operating and monitoring automatically fired boilers to generate steam. Ensures efficient and safe operation of boiler systems. Maintains compliance with safety regulations and operational procedures. Supports heating and industrial processes through reliable steam production. Coordinates routine inspections and maintenance activities. Essential Functions
Lights gas or oil fed burners.
Observes pressure, temperature, and draft meters to verify operation of combustion control systems.
Turns valves and adjusts controls to set fuel feed, draft openings, water level, and steam pressure.
Observes boiler and auxiliary units to detect malfunctions and performs necessary repairs.
Tests and treats boiler feed water.
Maintains logs of meter and gauge readings, water test results, and fuel consumption data.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Education Requirement High school diploma or equivalent experience Associate's degree perferred Experience Requirement 1-3 years of experience in a healthcare, clinical setting, or a relevant area An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. All experience must be paid and in the same related field. Part-time and PRN experience will be prorated based on hours worked per week.
