Job Description
Job Overview We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Pizza Oven Operator to join our vibrant culinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the pizza oven to produce high-quality, delicious pizzas that delight our customers. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about food preparation, has experience operating kitchen equipment, and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. Your expertise will help ensure every pizza meets our standards for taste, presentation, and safety. Must be able to work days/nights and weekends. High school students need not apply as hours will conflict with school hours Duties Operate and monitor the pizza oven to ensure proper cooking times and temperatures for various pizza sizes. Prepare pizza dough, toppings, and ingredients according to established recipes and menu specifications. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the oven area, following food safety sanitizing procedures and hygiene standards. Assist with food preparation tasks such as slicing, topping assembly, and portioning ingredients for consistent quality. Ensure adherence to recipe guidelines and quality standards during all stages of pizza production. Support the team in managing high-volume production during busy periods while maintaining efficiency. Follow all food safety regulations related to food handling, cooking, and kitchen equipment operation. Skills Previous experience with food preparation or kitchen operations in a restaurant or food industry setting preferred. Strong knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitizing procedures. Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, and slicing tools. Experience with menu planning, recipe adherence, and meal preparation techniques like braising or poaching is a plus. Excellent knife skills and understanding of food handling safety protocols. Ability to work efficiently in high-volume environments while maintaining attention to detail. Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
