Job Description

Operate Cupola Chemistry Control Slag 40 ton furnace Rebuild/repair transfer ladles Rebuild/repair launder Trough repair as needed Cupola repair on drop Notify yardman of alloy board update Gives breaks if necessary Cleans up area including: around test stand area (sweep, empty pail, iron off of test stand, remove clutter) slap and trip hazards removed from back of furnace things picked up and in order on the first cupola deck table in front of office clean and things put away in proper place any water in front of cupola or transfer ladle paths swept up all corners picked up and swept into middle of the floor for sweeper keep slag machine area clean (inside building) other items as directed by supervisor or lead man
