Full Job Description About Us:
American Heavy Plate Solutions LLC specializes in providing high-quality heavy plate products and services. We are committed to excellence, safety, and innovation in our heat treatment processes. We are looking for dedicated Furnace Operators to join our team and uphold our high-quality production standards.
Job Responsibilities:
Operate and monitor industrial furnaces used in the heat treatment process. Load and unload materials according to specifications. Adjust furnace settings, temperature, and cycle times to meet production requirements.
Post-Rolling Inspection:
Visual Inspection and Measurement:
Examine plates to ensure quality standards are met. Measure the dimensions of plates to determine the usable material before processing.
Additional Responsibilities:
Operate cranes as needed to move materials safely and efficiently Mark appropriate information on parts according to the work order, ensuring accurate identification and traceability. Operate hand tools such as grinders and stamping machines to prepare and finish materials as specified. Conduct routine inspections and perform basic maintenance to ensure equipment is operating efficiently. Follow all safety protocols and quality control procedures. Maintain accurate records of production runs, temperatures, and cycle data. Collaborate with team members to meet production goals.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED certificate. Ability to work assigned shifts and overtime as needed. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions. Basic mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in high-temperature environments. Commitment to workplace safety and efficiency.
Skills:
Ability to read a tape measure. Ability to read blueprints. Hand-eye coordination. Basic computer knowledge. Operate forklift and crane. Banding of parts to a pallet. Operate hand tools such as grinders and stamping machines.
Work Environment:
Rolling mill and steel service center environment. Exposure to hot and cold temperatures. Noisy and dusty conditions.
