Answer these questions—if you're nodding yes, you might be our next trainee: Is this you? Ready to learn how an Electric Arc Furnace, Ladle Furnace, Casting Machine, and Refractories all come together? Comfortable scanning equipment from a pulpit and calling out potential issues before they become problems? Willing to jump in wherever the crew needs you—Ladle Furnace support, crane coordination, minor maintenance, even filling in as a Scrap Crane Operator or Second Helper? Committed to safety, documentation, and clean, organized work areas? What you'll tackle Hands-on cross-training across Furnace, Ladle Furnace, Casting Machine, and Refractories Visual checks from the pulpit to spot hazards or equipment issues Assist teammates (Ladle Furnace operator, Crane operator, Maintenance) as needed Fill in as Scrap Crane Operator and Second Helper when required Report unsafe conditions immediately and communicate production concerns clearly Complete shift equipment inspection reports without fail Carry out tasks from operations support management safely and on time
Housekeeping:
