Successful candidates will operate on a 4-days-on, 4-days-off work schedule and must demonstrate proficiency in the operation of two wood-fired boilers, coupled with a deep understanding of standard boiler operating procedures. Your responsibilities will include diligent monitoring of key indicators such as water level, pressure, temperature, and steam load. Additionally, tasks encompass the seamless transfer of wood fuel from storage to the boiler and a commitment to weekly maintenance duties, including the thorough cleaning of tubes and ashes. This role necessitates strict adherence to written and verbal job instructions. The ability to provide constructive feedback and apply critical thinking skills is integral to achieving optimal boiler performance. Employees must be adept at using personal safety equipment, particularly when navigating a dynamic manufacturing environment. This environment involves factors such as moving machinery, fast-paced forklift traffic, and machine noise, with conditions varying depending on the time of the year.
