Must be detail-oriented and able to maintain accurate inventory and tooling records in a quality-driven aerospace manufacturing environment.

Duties Tool Crib Operations :

Manages, inventories, and organizes cutting tools, gauges, fixtures, and related tooling used in CNC machining operations

Inventory Control:

Receives, inspects, unpacks, stores, and organizes cutting tools and tooling supplies. Maintains accurate inventory records and tracks tool issues, returns, and usage to ensure proper traceability

Tooling Preparation & Maintenance:

Assembles and prepares cutting tools for production. Measures tool lengths and diameters using tool presetters, micrometers, and other precision measuring equipment. Inspects returned tooling for wear or damage and determines whether tools should be reground, repaired, or discarded

Purchasing & Restocking:

Monitors stock levels of cutting tools and other consumable tooling. Coordinates with Purchasing, tooling suppliers, and vending providers to maintain appropriate inventory levels and ensure required tooling is available for production

Shop Support:

Stages tooling and job kits for upcoming machine setups to help machinists minimize setup time and machine downtime. Maintains a clean, organized, and controlled tool crib while supporting production and quality requirements

Requirements:

Maintain accurate inventory records of all tools, fixtures, and supplies in the CNC machine shop tool crib Monitor tool usage and restock supplies promptly to prevent delays in machining operations Conduct regular audits of the tool crib, identifying discrepancies through root cause analysis and implementing process improvements to optimize inventory control.
