Job Description

About the Role As a Multi-Die Header Technician, you will drive production excellence by setting up and operating advanced heading machinery to manufacture high-precision metal components. You will play a vital role in optimizing manufacturing workflows, ensuring strict adherence to quality standards, and contributing to the continuous improvement of our production processes. Responsibilities Interpret complex blueprints and job travelers to determine precise tooling requirements and setup configurations. Operate multi-die progressive headers to meet high-volume output goals while maintaining strict dimensional accuracy. Proactively troubleshoot production issues and perform process adjustments to minimize downtime and scrap. Execute routine preventative maintenance and tooling modifications to ensure equipment reliability and longevity. Conduct rigorous quality inspections using precision measurement tools like comparators, micrometers, and calipers. Maintain accurate production records, including yield calculations and downtime logs, within our data management systems. Uphold a high standard of workplace safety and organization by adhering to 6S guidelines and environmental regulations. Qualifications Required Skills 10+ years of hands-on experience setting up and operating multi-die progressive headers. Advanced ability to design and modify tooling to achieve specific product outcomes. Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical blueprints and engineering drawings. Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in basic shop equipment like lathes, surface grinders, and hydraulic presses. Demonstrated ability to perform precise manual and visual inspections using standard metrology tools. Solid understanding of shop math and data entry into production tracking software. Preferred Skills Prior experience operating roll thread machinery. Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies. Proven track record of maintaining high safety and quality standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
