Job Description

IMS Buhrke-Olson, an industry leader in precision metal stamping and assembly with manufacturing locations in the US and Mexico, is seeking 1st and 2nd Shift Tool & Die Makers for its Arlington Heights, IL facility. Seeking self-motivated individuals who are able to work on their own and with a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment! This is a full-time position with benefits including vacation, medical/dental/vision/life/disability insurance, 401k, shift premiums, steady overtime, premier wages and more! Job Functions Review and perform maintenance schedule to decipher which dies need to be worked on during the 1st and 2nd shifts. Review dies with Die Makers and Toolroom Supervisor and evaluate detail reports and Access reports to make the best possible assessment on the dies. Work in a team environment to create and share ideas in order to build and complete projects on the production/toolroom floor. Work with Production/Toolroom/Quality/Engineering personnel to improve process. Support start up, tool tryout and PPAP process on new and transfer progressive tooling. Integrate a large variety of mechanical and electronic devices into new and existing progressive dies and assembly equipment. Competencies (The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required to perform the job successfully.) Education/Training
  • Must have high school diploma. GD&T, SPC, and blueprint classroom training preferred. Experience
  • Must have a minimum of five years of relevant die maintenance, building, and troubleshooting experience within a metal stamping manufacturing environment. Knowledge of Toolroom equipment usage to achieve close tolerance machining. Language Skills
  • Must have above average communication skills, written and verbal in English Computer Skills
  • Must have basic computer knowledge. Basic Auto Cad skills are required Other
  • Must have own tools.
Must have the ability to generate sketches and drawings from concepts. Individuals applying for this position will not be eligible for immigration sponsorship
