Die Maker — Jigs, Fixtures, and Stamping Tooling

Job Description

About AmTab AmTab designs, manufactures, and furnishes modern learning environments from our facility in Bensenville, IL. We're expanding and looking for a Die Maker who takes pride in precision and reliability.
Role snapshot Build and repair:
progressive dies and single-station dies for production.
Jigs and fixtures:
develop, maintain, and improve tooling that supports furniture manufacturing.
Documentation:
produce tooling layouts, detailed drawings, and final assembly documentation.
Maintenance:
sharpen and service dies to maintain tight tolerances and uptime.
Improvement:
lead continuous improvement initiatives across tooling, products, and processes. Must-have qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and certifications. 3+ years of experience as a Tool & Die Maker/Machinist or closely related role. Proven Tool and Die experience (non-negotiable). Preferred physical abilities Lift up to 35 pounds occasionally. Remain stationary for extended periods as job tasks require. Technical strengths Equipment troubleshooting and general problem-solving. Metal stamping/forming with progressive die systems. Manual machining expertise. Tool/die/mold repair and setup. Blueprint reading and interpretation. Equipment you'll operate Manual grinder and jig grinder. CNC lathe (2-4 axis). Manual vertical mill.
