This position is responsible for building, repairing, maintaining, and modifying precision tooling used in the wax injection and investment casting process. The ideal candidate has strong machining skills, experience with close-tolerance tooling, and the ability to work collaboratively with engineering and production teams to ensure high-quality castings. Key Responsibilities Build, repair, and maintain wax injection dies, fixtures, gauges, and tooling used in investment casting operations. Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, blueprints, and technical specifications. Set up and operate manual and CNC machine tools, including mills, lathes, grinders, EDM, and surface grinders. Perform precision fitting, polishing, and assembly of tooling components. Diagnose tooling issues and implement repairs to minimize production downtime. Modify existing tooling to improve product quality, productivity, and manufacturability. Inspect completed tooling using precision measuring equipment to ensure dimensional accuracy. Work closely with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams during new product launches and process improvements. Maintain accurate documentation of tooling repairs, modifications, and preventive maintenance. Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
