Job Description

Axiom is recruiting for a position in York for a Lead Assembler. We are a high-volume metal fabrication facility with openings for multi-skilled individuals with prior experience. Positions are 1st shift, 5:30am-3:30pm, Monday through Thursday, with Friday OT (if needed) from 5:30am-10:30am.

QUALIFICATIONS

Familiarity with blueprints Ability to select proper tooling and hold parts to within close tolerances. Troubleshoot and perform basic mechanical maintenance. Familiarity using essential fabrication hand tools (angle grinders, squares, scales, calipers) Detail oriented Good problem-solving skills and attention to quality.

Leadership Qualities:

Being able to communicate with the team and Plant Manager Filter questions and issues within the team Working with the students in our Co-Op Program Checking on parts/jobs to make sure they are done with accuracy

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Prior experience is a plus. Work in cooperation with other fabricators and team members. Measurement, mathematical and conversion skills. Ability to work overtime when needed. Must be able to stand for 10 hours per day and lift at least 50 pounds (partner lifting for safety reasons) IND511
