64 Hourly Quick Apply Description Job Summary The Field Technician II requires 2-3 years of prior experience within the water/ wastewater or similar industry, along with a combination of hands-on technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and a strong commitment to safety and environmental compliance. This position plays an essential role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of water and wastewater treatment processes. Responsibilities
Perform routine maintenance on water/wastewater treatment equipment and machinery.
Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with pumps, valves, conveyors, and other mechanical components.
Conduct repairs and replacements as necessary to ensure optimal functionality.
Install and set up new equipment
Operation of vehicles and equipment to include power tools, pumps, meters, mowers, weed trimmers, chainsaws, mini excavator, etc.
Respond promptly to emergency situations such as equipment failures or system malfunctions.
Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, repairs, and modifications.
Document calibration procedures, inspection results, and any changes made to the system.
Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure working environment.
Identify and address potential safety hazards promptly.
Participate in safety training programs and promote a culture of safety among colleagues.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, operators, and other technicians.
Communicate effectively with plant personnel to coordinate maintenance activities.
Provide technical support and guidance to colleagues as needed.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains.
Stay informed about advancements in water/wastewater treatment technology.
Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and permit requirements.
Stay informed about changes in regulations affecting water/wastewater treatment.
Diligently pursuing your water & wastewater operator certifications Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
Valid driver's license and acceptable Motor Vehicle Records are required
2-3 years' experience in the water/ wastewater, public works, maintenance or servicing industry is highly preferred
Ability and willingness to work independently
Ability to understand water/ wastewater systems and concepts
Strong attention to detail
Ability to perform sustained physical labor, including heavy lifting and working above your head and below your feet
Neat and clean in appearance, courteous and friendly with the general public and willing to be a part of a team
Must be available to work overtime and 'on-call' as needed Share job details to
