- nonexempt Hourly wage: $25 / hour About the Role We are looking for a hands-on, safety-focused Operator to join our Operations team in Northern California. As an Operator, you will play a key role in ensuring the reliable operation of BioFiltro's wastewater treatment systems. You will monitor system performance, maintain equipment, collect water samples, analyze operational data, and support continuous improvement initiatives. This position combines field operations, equipment maintenance, data tracking, troubleshooting, and customer interaction. What You'll Do Operations & System Monitoring Operate and monitor wastewater treatment systems. Track system performance, alarms, and operational trends. Respond to operational issues and support overall system reliability. Maintenance & Troubleshooting Perform inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and operational issues. Maintain pumps, irrigation systems, sensors, and related equipment. Water Quality & Process Performance Collect and document water quality samples. Monitor treatment performance and analyze operational data. Support process optimization and continuous improvement efforts. Reporting & Communication Maintain accurate records using FMX and other software tools. Communicate with customers, contractors, and internal team members. Support Operations and Engineering teams with field observations and diagnostics. Safety & Compliance Maintain a safe, organized work environment. Follow OSHA, environmental, and company safety requirements. Support BioFiltro's commitment to operational excellence and environmental stewardship. Other duties as required. What We're Looking For Required Qualifications 1-5 years of experience in wastewater, industrial, manufacturing, agricultural, or related operations. Mechanical aptitude and experience with low-voltage electrical systems. Strong computer and smartphone skills. Ability to work independently and maintain accurate records. Strong communication skills and attention to detail. Working knowledge of OSHA standards. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. English proficiency. Preferred Qualifications Associate's degree, Bachelor's degree, technical certificate, or equivalent experience. Experience with wastewater treatment or irrigation systems. Familiarity with pumps, valves, VFDs, sensors, telemetry, or CMMS software. Spanish language skills. Demonstrated passion for process improvement and operational excellence. Why BioFiltro? Pay:
