The Seminole Tribe of Florida's Public Works Department is responsible for providing a variety of services to the residents of The Seminole Tribe. The Department's main functions are to administer and manage the construction, operation, and maintenance of the Seminole Tribe of Florida's infrastructure for roads, water and wastewater distribution and collection systems, facilities, and sanitation services to meet existing and future needs of the Tribal Council and Community.

//tcd.semtribe.com/ The position is located on the Hollywood Reservation at 2600 N 64th Ave., Hollywood, FL 33024. Position Summary This is routine work performing maintenance tasks for the Wastewater Treatment Plants located at the Seminole Tribe of Florida Reservations. The incumbent in this position is responsible for performing a variety of operations and maintenance repair tasks for waste water equipment including, pumps, motors, valves, chemical feed systems, piping and control panels. Performs general housekeeping functions for the wastewater facilities; maintains chemical inventory and inventory of all equipment and tools needed to perform the maintenance of the STOF Wastewater Plants. Instructions are usually received orally and tasks are performed without close field supervision. All work is subject to inspection while in progress and upon completion.
Qualifications / Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent GED is required. Minimum of one (1) year of experience working as a wastewater treatment plant operator or experience in the daily operation of wastewater production is required. Sequencing Batch Reactor (SBR) experience is preferred. Must have an active Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator license Class C or higher level. Knowledgeable in the area of safety practices and procedures related to wastewater plant operations. Must possess a valid Florida Driver's License. Demonstrates excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to travel and to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
