Wastewater Pump Technician Full-Time | Competitive Pay + Benefits Join Our Team We are seeking a dependable, mechanically inclined Wastewater Pump Technician to join our growing team. This position is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of wastewater pumping systems, lift stations, and related equipment. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, enjoys working outdoors, and takes pride in providing quality service to municipal, industrial, and commercial customers. Responsibilities Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair wastewater pumps and pumping systems. Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control system issues. Perform preventative maintenance on pumps, motors, valves, and lift stations. Remove and install submersible pumps using proper rigging and lifting equipment. Assist with pump station startups and system commissioning. Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals. Inspect and repair piping, valves, guide rail systems, and associated equipment. Complete service reports and document work performed. Maintain a clean, organized service vehicle and work area. Follow all OSHA safety standards and company safety procedures. Participate in an on-call rotation for emergency service when required. Qualifications Experience working with wastewater pumps, lift stations, or industrial pumping equipment preferred. Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot rotating equipment. Basic electrical knowledge, including motors, controls, and VFDs, is preferred. Ability to safely use power tools, lifting equipment, and diagnostic instruments. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in confined spaces and outdoor environments. Strong communication and customer service skills. Preferred Experience Flygt, Xylem, Sulzer, HOMA, Goulds, or other wastewater pumping equipment. Pump alignment, seal replacement, bearing replacement, and motor troubleshooting. Pump station controls, float systems, and telemetry. Municipal wastewater collection systems. Crane, hoist, or rigging experience.
