Job Summary Reporting to the Utility Manager, this role owns end-to-end management of ultra-pure water (UPW) and industrial wastewater systems for solar cell manufacturing. Responsible for daily operation, preventive maintenance, fault resolution, process optimization, regulatory compliance and technical guidance to ensure uninterrupted 24/7 production. Key ResponsibilitiesUltra-Pure Water System Management Operate and maintain full electronic-grade UPW loops: pre-treatment, double-pass RO, EDI modules, polishing mixed beds and distribution piping network. Monitor resistivity, TOC, silica and particle counts to sustain 18.2MΩ•cm water quality for production lines. Schedule and execute membrane chemical cleaning, resin regeneration, filter cartridge replacement and periodic pipeline flushing. Troubleshoot pressure deviation, flow reduction, water quality drift and equipment alarms to eliminate production downtime and yield losses. Wastewater Treatment & Regulatory Compliance Oversee segregated treatment of acidic/alkaline wastewater, fluoride-laden wastewater and high-salinity wastewater streams. Supervise automated chemical dosing (PAC, PAM, calcium chloride, neutralizing acids & bases), coagulation, sedimentation and sludge dewatering workflows. Guarantee effluent parameters comply with state environmental codes and facility discharge permits. Maintain operational logs, chemical usage records and hazardous waste documentation for regulatory inspections, audits and permit renewals. Equipment & Preventive Maintenance Perform daily rounds and routine inspections on pumps, filters, metering pumps, online water quality analyzers and associated control systems. Develop quarterly/annual PM schedules, track maintenance execution and reduce unplanned equipment outages. Administer spare parts inventory, initiate procurement requests and control consumable & chemical costs. Process Optimization & Capital Projects Tune operational parameters to boost water recovery rate and cut consumption of water, electricity and treatment chemicals. Participate in system expansion, retrofits, upgrade projects and post-construction acceptance testing. Conduct root-cause analysis on recurring faults and implement corrective & preventive measures for long-term system stability. Safety, SOP & Team Leadership Adhere strictly to LOTO lockout-tagout, confined space entry, chemical handling and hazardous waste protocols. Collaborate with EHS team on safety audits and site hazard rectification. Revise and standardize operational SOPs; train and mentor junior utility operators on daily workflows and emergency responses.
