We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Sanitation Supervisor. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene in our bakery facility. As a Sanitation Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the sanitation team, implementing cleaning schedules, ensuring compliance with industry regulations (FDA.
SQF, HCCP
), managing chemicals and disposable materials, and adhering to SSOP (Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures). Key Responsibilities Supervise, train, and lead the sanitation team. Schedule and assign daily sanitation tasks based on production needs. Ensure proper cleaning and sanitation of production areas, equipment, floors, drains, and facility grounds. Ensure compliance with FDA, SQF, HACCP, GMP, and SSOP requirements. Conduct sanitation inspections and ensure corrective actions are completed. Maintain sanitation records, cleaning schedules, inspection reports, and chemical usage logs. Manage sanitation chemicals, PPE, cleaning tools, and disposable supplies. Ensure proper chemical handling, storage, labeling, and usage. Coordinate with Production, FSQA, and Maintenance to address sanitation and equipment issues. Coordinate with the pest control contractor and follow up on pest control activities. Train employees on SSOPs, chemical safety, GMPs, and proper cleaning procedures. Support internal, customer, and SQF audits. Identify opportunities to improve sanitation practices, efficiency, and food safety. Qualifications Associate Degree or equivalent required. 3+ years of sanitation experience, preferably in a food manufacturing or bakery environment . Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred. Knowledge of
SSOP, GMP, HACCP, SQF, FDA
requirements, and chemical safety . Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Bilingual English/Spanish or English/Bengali is a plus. Ability to work evenings, weekends, and flexible hours as needed.
