In this energetic position, you'll operate and monitor wastewater systems, ensuring the proper treatment and discharge of water in accordance with regulatory standards. Your expertise will help protect public health and the environment while supporting the seamless operation of our water utility services. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced water treatment equipment, heavy machinery, and control systems in a fast-paced utility environment. Duties Operate and control wastewater treatment plant equipment, including pumps, valves, and chemical feed systems, to ensure optimal plant performance. Monitor water quality parameters through data collection and analysis to maintain environmental compliance standards. Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and distributed control systems (DCS) to automate processes and troubleshoot system issues efficiently. Perform routine inspection, maintenance, repair, and calibration of water treatment and wastewater systems to prevent downtime. Conduct heavy lifting, heavy equipment operation, plumbing tasks, and construction activities as needed for plant upkeep. Collect samples, analyze data, and document operational activities to support regulatory reporting requirements. Follow safety regulations by using personal protective equipment (PPE), adhering to safety protocols, and participating in safety training sessions. Assist with tankers and industrial pump maintenance or repairs to ensure continuous process flow. Support environmental compliance initiatives by maintaining accurate records of operations and reporting any deviations or incidents promptly. Experience Experience is appreciated but not require, reliable and dedicated work ethic is. We will be paid training for the first several months. Hands-on knowledge of water treatment equipment operation, industrial pump maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting skills. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), distributed control systems (DCS), and automation technology used in water utilities. Experience working in the energy & utilities sector or related industrial environments is highly desirable. Construction experience or mechanical knowledge that supports equipment repair and maintenadjustments. Strong analysis skills for monitoring system performance and identifying operational issues quickly.
