Mill Clean-up Team Lead

Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Mill Clean-up Team Lead to oversee the cleanliness and sanitation of our manufacturing facility. In this vital role, you will lead a team responsible for maintaining a safe, hygienic, and compliant environment within the mill. Your leadership will ensure that all cleaning procedures are followed in a safe and productive manner. This position offers an exciting opportunity to drive operational excellence while fostering a culture of safety and teamwork. Work hours are 8:00am-6:30pm, Tuesday-Friday. Duties Lead and coordinate daily cleaning activities within the mill, including industrial cleaning, sanitation, and janitorial tasks Ensure proper handling and disposal of chemical agents used in cleaning processes, following chemical handling safety procedures Supervise team members in the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and respiratory protection to maintain a safe work environment Conduct regular inspections to verify cleanliness standards are met, and document daily schedules. Train team members on proper cleaning techniques, chemical handling, safety protocols, and sanitation procedures Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and chemicals, ensuring timely replenishment and proper storage Enforce safety protocols during heavy lifting, chemical handling, and equipment operation to prevent accidents or injuries Experience Prior janitorial or custodial experience in food production, manufacturing, or industrial settings is highly preferred Demonstrated knowledge of chemical agent handling and industrial cleaning practices Experience with sanitation standards specific to food processing environments and GMP compliance Familiarity with warehouse operations or heavy lifting tasks is advantageous Strong basic math skills for measuring chemicals and recording data accurately Proven leadership ability to supervise teams effectively while maintaining high safety standards Ability to follow detailed safety procedures related to chemical handling, PPE use, and respiratory protection Prior Supervisory experience is a must. Previous forklift experience is required. Pay:
$20.00 - $24.00 per hour
